Feeling Stuck? Read this.

Dear Friends,

I had a conversation with a coaching client this week that stayed with me. She told me she feels stuck at work—uninspired, boxed in, unable to create or dream freely.

She said, “I just want to feel free.”

And I get it. That longing. That desire to break away, shake things up, start over somewhere new. We’ve all felt that pull at some point.

But I told her what I’ve come to learn in my own life: Freedom isn’t a place. It’s not something you find out there.

You could quit your job, travel the world for six months, sit under a waterfall in Bali—and still feel trapped.

Why? Because the real cage isn’t always your circumstances. It’s the unprocessed emotions. The limiting beliefs. The fears, the guilt, the resentment, the weight you carry silently.

That’s where the stuckness lives.

Freedom isn’t always about physical escape. More often, it’s emotional release.

It’s the moment you stop believing the lie that you need different conditions to be free.

Because right here—wherever you are—you can pause. You can close your eyes. You can imagine something new. You can breathe deeply into your heart.

You can feel free.

That’s what I told her. That’s what I remind myself. And maybe, that’s what you needed to hear today too.

Blessings,

Ryan Justin Jackson
