What I Found When I Turned It All Off

Dear Friends,

For the past nine days, I gave myself a gift.

Nine days of raw food and vegetables.

Nine days with no social media, no news, no endless scroll.

Nine days of quiet, of listening to what uplifts my soul.

And what I found surprised me: I didn’t realize how much noise I had been carrying. How much of my center had been scattered by the world’s chatter—until I stepped away from it.

Silence has a way of holding up a mirror. It shows you where you’ve been filling yourself with static. And in that stillness, I began to hear more clearly—the Divine, my own heart, the simple truth of who I really am.

We don’t always realize how tangled our path gets when we’re absorbing everyone else’s voice but our own. These spiritual detoxes are not luxuries. They’re essential. They bring us back to clarity, back to peace, back to God.

And here’s the good news: you don’t need nine days to experience this. You can start with nine minutes.

Try this: Give yourself nine minutes of silence today.

  • Turn off your phone, your computer, and the stream of notifications.

  • Close your eyes. Breathe. Listen to your heart.

  • Ask your higher self: Where are you leading me?

If you’d like support, here’s a short meditation I recorded to help you enter that stillness: Silence Your Mind: Guided Meditation for Heart and Mind Healing.

Even a few minutes of silence can open more than you realize.

Blessings,

Ryan Justin Jackson
