What if nothing is actually going wrong?

Dear Friends,
Lately I’ve been in deep conversation—with others and with myself—about what’s happening in the world.
The headlines feel heavy: political division, war, human rights under threat, a deepening sense of unrest. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disheartened, even hopeless.
But I’ve also been thinking about what many ancient spiritual traditions remind us—especially A Course in Miracles. That this world, for all its intensity, is a kind of mesmerism. An illusion. A dream we are dreaming.
And if that sounds far-fetched, consider this:
So many people who’ve had near-death experiences return with the same insights—
That death isn’t real.
That this life is something we chose, as a school for growth.
That we are far more than our bodies and this momentary storyline.
So when things feel dark, I try to remember:
Nothing is wrong in the eternal sense.
Even the chaos has purpose in the grand unfolding.
We are here to learn. To grow. To remember.
And that remembering shifts everything.
Because when you remember that this life is passing, that everything you see will one day go, your grip loosens. You stop clinging to the world’s madness for meaning. You start searching for the only thing that doesn’t change:
The light within.
That light is who you are.
And it’s the one thing you’re here to nourish, express, and extend to others.
This isn’t about checking out or becoming passive.
It’s about acting from love, not fear.
It’s about seeing clearly and choosing compassion over chaos.
It’s about remembering your role—not as the one who must control everything, but as the one who can love in the midst of it.
Blessings,
Ryan Justin Jackson
